The short version
Your jobs, prices, customers, notes, photos and sketches stay on your own device. We don't have accounts, we don't sell data, and we don't run ads or ad trackers.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter in the Contractor Toolkit app is saved only in the app on your device. That includes your business details, logo and colors, your saved prices, jobs, customer names and contact details, estimates, appointment notes, measurements, photos and sketches. We can't see it. If you delete the app or use "Delete all jobs and settings", it's gone, so keep copies of anything important.
What leaves your device, and why
- Purchases in the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles payment. We use RevenueCat to confirm your subscription. RevenueCat gets an anonymous app ID and your purchase history, not your card details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy, plus Apple's or Google's.
- Purchases on the web. If you subscribe on our website, Stripe handles payment and stores your email and card details. We see your email and the last 4 digits of your card so we can restore Pro on a new device. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- AI local price check (Pro). When you tap "Check local prices", we send the trade, job size, job details from the calculator, your quote and your ZIP code or city to our server. Our server sends them to Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI model, which searches the web for local prices. We don't send customer names, addresses or contact details. We keep a monthly count of your checks so we can apply the plan limit. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Sharing an estimate. When you share an estimate PDF, it goes only where you send it, through your device's share menu.
- Digital products from our store. Gumroad handles checkout and delivery and gets the details you give it. See Gumroad's privacy policy.
- Email. If you email us, we use your email address only to reply.
Camera and photos
The app asks for the camera and your photo library only so you can add job photos to an appointment. Photos are saved in the app on your device and aren't uploaded.
Children
The app and this site are for contractors and businesses. They aren't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
You can delete your data any time in the app's Settings, or by deleting the app. To ask what we hold about you (normally just a purchase record or an email), or to have it deleted, email contractor1toolkit@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
