Terms of Use

The rules for using the Contractor Toolkit app and this website. Last updated October 7, 2026.

Using the app

Contractor Toolkit gives you calculators, estimate templates and job tools to help you price and send your work. You can use the free version, or subscribe to Pro for the full features. By using the app or this site you agree to these terms. If you got the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies.

Estimates and AI price checks are estimates

The calculators, going-rate checks and AI local price checks are estimating aids. They depend on the numbers you enter and on public price information, which can be wrong or out of date. They aren't a guarantee of what a job will cost or what a customer will pay. You're responsible for your own prices, quotes, contracts, permits, licensing and taxes. Confirm material coverage with the manufacturer and prices with your supplier.

Not legal, tax or professional advice

Contractor Toolkit is run by a working contractor, not an attorney, accountant or insurance professional. Nothing in the app or on this site is legal, tax or professional advice. Estimates made with the app aren't contracts. Use a written agreement for your jobs and have a licensed professional review anything you rely on.

Your content

Your jobs, customer details, logos, photos and estimates belong to you. They're stored on your device, and you're responsible for having the right to use any logo or photo you add.

Fair use

Don't copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app or our templates, or use them to build a competing product. Don't misuse the AI price check or try to get around plan limits.

No warranty and limits on liability

The app and site are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Contractor Toolkit and SME Improvements LLC aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or losses from pricing, bidding or business decisions made using the app. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and ending use

We may update the app, these terms or the features in each plan. If we make a big change to these terms, we'll update the date at the top. You can stop using the app at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
