Most epoxy quotes go wrong in one of three places: coverage, labor, or markup. Here's how to get each one right.
Coverage depends on the product and on the slab. Use the square feet per kit (per coat) from your product's data sheet, and add a waste factor. 10% is a common starting point; use more for rough or porous concrete. Always round up to whole kits.
Grinding, crack repair, taping, each coat, and cleanup all take time. Multiply your crew size by total hours per person and by your true hourly cost, meaning wage plus payroll taxes and workers' comp.
A 35% markup on cost is about a 26% margin. If you mark up 30% thinking you made 30%, you actually kept about 23 cents of every dollar. The calculator shows your real margin so you can check before you quote.
